I have plants out by the pool that are still alive. Our grass is never this green in the winter. Being outside without a coat on today was really bizarre. It doesn't feel like Christmas but I'll take it!
I finally got around to some holiday decorating over here. Cranked up the Christmas music and got the ornaments up on the tree and made a few floral arrangements. Perhaps you have seen those Eva Zeisel looking ceramic serving bowls at TJ MAxx and perhaps you picked up a few like I did. They make for some fun floral centerpieces. When we bought our tree, there was a pile of free branches and little tree trunk cut offs...and I never pass up anything for free! One of those tiny stumps worked so nicely with an combo of pine cones and tillandsia. Out of the four centerpieces I made yesterday, it is definitely my fave.
...and yes that plaid table runner is a wool scarf from Target. $14.99 - YAY!
In 1957, Shari Lewis first appeared with Lamb Chop on the Captain Kangaroo television show as the niece of Mr. Greenjeans. Growing up in the 70s, I watched Captain Kangaroo religiously. And today I could not resist getting a little plush Lamb Chop for Lottie. Available now at the Hungry Hound in St. John for $10.99.
