basement: drywall dust

Two coats of white primer on the walls does not make for interesting blog photos. So how about some drywall dust art instead.

Red-Eyed Vireo

Yesterday I was looking out the kitchen window and saw a little puff ball sitting on one of our patio chairs attempting to get out of the wind with its head tucked in. What the heck is that?? I've never seen a bird like that before!! Grabbed the camera and went out for a closer look. It was a good sport and posed nicely for me for a few minutes before it flew away. After going through some bird books, I figured out this young little puff ball was a Red-Eyed Vireo. Although I'll probably never see another one, I'll be looking!
