Starting with my makeshift side table... I got this super cheap plant stand to tide me over until my dream table comes along. Which I hope is sooner than later! Most important - this thing does hold a drink. Be it coffee or a margarita.
Next up are my 3 makeshift boulders... 3 small ones for now. I did find a place that will sell me giant boulders for a nice sum of money and deliver them to my house and bobcat them around my yard for an additional $125. We are waiting until Spring so we can get every boulder we ever wanted as this $125 delivery charge is the same no matter how many you buy. Might as well go super boulder crazy in the Spring when we will have more money (I hope).
Last but certainly not least is my WAY makeshift bird bath... it's so hot and my birds are sooo thirsty! I just couldn't wait until I have the time to make a really cute one. I put this one together for about $5 bucks. Bought an aluminium rod at Ace Hardware, cut it into 3 pieces, and added a terracotta saucer I had laying around for the "bath". I had painted it white at some point in my life. It does the trick - birds are splashing around and that makes me happy. Sorry Karen... I didn't even use a level or do this in any professional type way. I promise to make my "real" one as good as yours!
