Remember the post about my disappointment in the USPS? Well, my Skinny laMinx package mailed on December 9th finally arrived on January 29th. I have now received all of my M.I.A. mail. (yay)
Did you know that there's a secret link back to the HousePet home page? There is. Just move your mouse around the far left corner of the HousePet header. Above the mulch. Left of the robin's eye. It's tiny. I know where it is and even I have trouble finding it.
Comments. I've been trying out the four options available for comments and who can leave them. Ideally I'd like to keep it wide open to anybody and everybody. Unfortunately that option is an invitation for spam. I tightened it up last month and found that it was difficult for my non-eblogger pals to leave comments. Opened it back up to everyone and got spam last week. And an annonymous commenter. Part of the enjoyment in doing this blog is connecting with other bloggers. I do not get paid to do this. There has to be some sort of reward and annonymous comments just don't cut it so I am no longer posting annonymous comments. Sorry. I tightened up the "who can comment" again no longer allowing annonymous comments although this option is less strict than what I tried in December. Regular commenters (all 4 of you) - please let me know if you are having any troubles. Annonymous commenters, share a link to your blog and we can talk.
As it says in my profile... if you see something you like, please link back. I hate to see my photos reblogged without a link back.
I recently added my etsy faves to HousePet. Enjoy and go shop!
I can't find your secret link in the header, but I will survive. If you see this, then you know the commenting tool is working.
ReplyDeleteThe secret link spot is just a bit larger than microscopic. It doesn't show up if you're already on the main page...and moving your mouse very slowly helps too. Thanks for the heads up on the comment-ability!
ReplyDeleteAre you using askimet? I get tons of spam, but it gets filtered into the spam folder so no biggie...I also have the Bad Behavior plug-in. I'm on wordpress, but it might be worth investigating on your platform...or switch to WP! No name/URL comments means I can still comment with my google account.
ReplyDeleteThanks MFG. I'll email you.
