It’s rare but occasionally I get some nice comments on my blog, most recently from ModFruGal and Karen from The Art of Doing Stuff – two blogs I really enjoy written by two witty, crafty do-it-yourselfers. Both have done some amazing things remodeling their homes and have all sorts of thrifty, useful tips to share. I don’t know if its misery loves company or what but when I read other people’s renovation blogs I can’t help but think “Wow - I’m not the only one sweating my ass off and busting my back fixing up a house!”.
ModFruGal – With her stories of renovating a 70′s modern home, she shares her love of bargains and fixing up junk (as she puts it). The way they resided their house is so freaking cool. Lots of good crafty tips. Oh and she likes birds too. And Diarmuid Gavin (aka housePet's hero and creator of landscape dreams )
The Art of Doing Stuff – The front page says it all… if I don’t know, I’ll figure it out. Well written and super funny. Look for the picture of her with a chipmunk on her shoulder because she is that cool! And she makes floral arrangements with artichokes and water lettuce. She is soooo my kind of human. Yes, her backyard transformation is amazing!!
